Well first of all I LOVE MY JOB! I cant believe Ive grown up to be a professional wedding photographer! How very lucky I am……
It’s very easy when you are attending weddings every week to get complacent about just how important and special a wedding day is. I think all of us girls have paraded around the bedroom with a tea towel on our head and our mum’s plastic flowers pretending to be a bride – ooops or is that just me?? Hours in the classroom dawdling our new name for when we get married – practicing our signature. Not sure Lydia Gillespie has the same ring as Lydia Taylor-Jones so thank goodness he dumped me! The point is I would never take for granted how much this day has been looked forward too, stressed about, all the decisions big and small that have been agonised over and I make it my job to capture as much detail and raw emotion on that one day that I possibly can. After all, the photos are all that are left as a permanent record of that one day that you have been looking forward to all your life – that’s one thing any bride and groom will tell you AFTER their day. Unfortunately its only AFTER the day that couples realise just how important those photographs will become. You will never ever again have a picture of your husband’s face when he first see’s you walking down that aisle looking so beautiful. To witness the groom’s mothers emotion knowing she’s lost her son to another woman (as much as she loves you!) or the pride on a bride’s fathers face as he gives his little girl away. Probably never again will you be surrounded in one place, on one day with the most important friends and family in your lives. These are all once in a lifetime events. So Yes, it is such a special day filled with so many happy memories and emotions. So you have to get it right when choosing your photographer and giving them such a responsible task. Do you want to risk being disappointed in any way? I put 100% in to every wedding I have the honour of working on. I try my very best to be a part of the day, to add something to the enjoyment and fun whilst always remaining professional. Yes, at times you have to be a little bossy and organise people etc but all this can be done with humour and patience and that is my aim.
Qualifications’ - I am an Associate member of the Master Photographers Association so you will have the peace of mind that I am insured, qualified and adhere to a strict code of professional conduct. I could list many awards both regional and nationally that I have won over the past ten years but it would get very boring and in all honestly my main aim is to thrill the brides and grooms and families that I photograph. We enjoy an exceptional reputation with our couples and the many venues we attend, that is what is important to me.
I know this is a very big decision to make and if I can be of any help at all to help put those worries at ease, contact us today and I promise you can then plan the rest of your wedding day with the full confidence booking a qualified photographer will give you .
Please email me at ltaylorjones@aol.com or fill in the contact form for a current price list.
I hope you will become one of my many happy customers!
